Helpful Hints . . .

He will remember your face at this very moment for
the rest of his life...

I understand how important it is for a Bride to feel and look her most beautiful on her wedding day. It's true what they say, "If you look good, you will feel good". I take the time and listen to what you have to say.

When we're meeting for the first time, keep in mind that I don't know your personal tastes. I'll need just a little help from you:

  • Bring in any photos that have the look you want.
  • Start going through magazines or photo albums.
  • Been to a friend's wedding lately? Was there a Style there that caught your eye? Borrow a snapshot or two.
  • You might even find something in your own photo album.

Everybody is different. I will try to fit the style to your face. Beauty comes from within, and I will help you bring it out.

You'll also want to dress appropriately:

  • If your wedding gown will be white, wear something in the same shade to your Practice Styling (even a white T-shirt) so that your hair color will be showcased atop the right hue.
  • I am known for my elaborate up-dos which lend themselves to particular neckline styles. You should choose a shirt with a neckline similar to your gown.
  • Once your headpiece is in place, it will make your hairstyle look different, so it's important to bring it along for the consultation. If it hasn't arrived yet, ask your bridal salon to loan you a sample. Or bring along a photo, so I know what to expect.

Try to schedule your preview in the morning or early afternoon so you can really see how your hair and make-up holds up for the entire day.

I will take photos at your trial styling to include in my portfolio. This gives me a chance to study your style and when you meet me again the day of the wedding, I'll know just what needs to be done.

To guarantee a great hair day, it will all come down to timing. Which means you'll need to schedule your hair appointment at precisely the right moment. Here's how to figure out your timetable. Ask your photographer what time you'll need to be ready for photos. Ask your stylist how long it will take for hair. Then count backward, giving yourself an extra half hour. For example, if photos are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., make sure everyone involved -- you, your groom, your parents, the wedding party -- is ready to go by 3:30.

When the wedding day arrives, put your undergarments on under a button-front shirt so you'll be ready to slip on your dress when your hair is done and your headpiece and veil are in place.

Relax and Enjoy Your Special Day!
